An old WWII-era tunnel that belonged to and was constructed by Imperial Japan of the era was recently discovered in China. This means that Japan had plans to increase their activity in China or create a new base of operations.
It also proves that Japan, had the atomic bombs not been dropped, wanted to continue the war until all Japanese were annihilated. Such was the thinking of the imperial army and even the emperor at the time.
The tunnel was found in the old Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo (1932 to 1945) but was originally called Manchuria by China.

The tunnel was discovered by a 56 year old Hizaya Okazaki, a man with a flare for studying old military bases and construction projects to see their potential. Like Manchuria, it is 50 kilometers from the border between China and North Korea.
One must remember that Japan had control of Korea during WWII and even before WWI (1910 to 1945). This would have probably served as a staging area as well as reinforcement point and base of operations for Japanese troops in Korea at the time.
The tunnel is reminiscent to the Nazi underground tunnels that built the V-2 rocket and housed the world’s first jet fighter, the Messerschmitt Me 262. Some researchers say that it bears a striking resemblance.
Although it isn’t surprising because Japan and Nazi Germany were allies during WWII along with Italy in what is known as the Tripartite Pact.
This is a big discovery for military fanatics and researchers and historians because it will undoubtedly shed some light in the covert operations of Japan when they were in China occupying Chinese territory.
Many researchers are asking for more time and money to dig up more of the tunnel to reveal what lies beneath the labyrinth of concrete walls and to tell us what secrets lie within.
