Music is a very important part of our lives. It’s so important, whenever someone just wants to be by themselves, the very first thing they think of is their phone, their favorite music artist and a headset and they’re rocking the world in their minds. What better way to teach than with music?
AYE, AYE, SIR, teachers! The Sergeant is here to teach you how to teach your class with a bit of art!

#1. Electronic
Yes, it livens the soul and makes one feel as if they are unstoppable. This is great for a class because it actually speeds up their thinking and their listening and writing abilities. Music is good for just about any situation and humans are musically inclined so fast paced music will increase their production while slow-paced music will slow their production.
#2. Classical
Ah, yes. Before the time of electronics and CD’s and Mp3 players and phones, you had to go to an opera to listen to music and hope that your favourite song would play. You see, in those days, the only music was classic and this would be a relaxing genre for your students. It’s ideal if you’re teaching them about culture and new topics.
#3. Dance
Known as the “golden age of modern music”, this is music from the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s when they were experimenting with different genres. It’s ideal if you want your students to relax and work quickly and efficiently at the same time. It has a distinctive semi-fast- pace while retaining the old classical slow paced music but without the classical instruments.
#4. Country
As with Dance, this is also similar because it has a fast pace but is distinct in that it’s relaxing to the ears and isn’t going to pollute the air you listen to. It’s also distinct for being slightly less quick as dance and makes students feel as if they’re on a long road trip to the countryside.
